Person Dies in Shocking Central London Incident
A tragic death has rocked Central London this morning, forcing the dramatic closure of the Old Bailey courthouse. The incident happened around 10 a.m. and left the area in chaos.
Emergency Crews Rush to Scene
Paramedics sprang into action after being called to Fleet Place at 10.05 a.m. The London Ambulance Service sent two ambulance crews, an incident response officer, a clinical team manager, and the hazardous area response team (HART). The London Air Ambulance also joined the emergency response.
Sadly, despite the best efforts of our crews, a person was pronounced dead at the scene,” a London Ambulance Service spokesperson told MyLondon.
Old Bailey Closed, Roads Gridlocked
The event caused the Old Bailey, the Central Criminal Court, to shut down immediately. Roads around Limeburner Lane, Holborn Viaduct, and Newgate Street were closed, snarling traffic in the heart of London.
Cause of Death Still Unknown
At present, the cause of death remains a mystery. UKNIP has contacted the City of London Police for more information as the investigation continues.
