Man Caught Exposing Himself to Women in Fordingbridge Dog Park
Robert Oakley, 51, was found guilty of two counts of indecent exposure after targeting lone women walking their dogs in Fordingbridge.
Pervert Strikes Twice in Popular Dog-Walking Spot
At Southampton Crown Court, Oakley, from Lyon Street, Southampton, faced a three-day trial. A jury found him guilty of flashing two women in January 2020 near Frog Lane, a well-known local dog walking area.
He first exposed himself to a 33-year-old woman on January 25 at 3.20pm. Just three days later, on January 28 between 12.30pm and 1pm, he struck again, targeting a 34-year-old woman, also walking alone with her dog.
Police Praise Victims for Speaking Out
PC Sarah Taylor said, “We thank the women who came forward. Incidents like this are distressing and can leave victims unsure about reporting. But we urge anyone affected to contact us. If it’s happening now, call 999 immediately.”
She added that the crimes had worried the Fordingbridge community but were stopped thanks to the bravery of the victims and the police’s swift action.
Sentencing Set for May 11
Oakley will return to court for sentencing on May 11, facing the consequences of his actions.
