Young Thug Jailed After Failed Knife Threat Robbery in Chester
A 22-year-old man has been locked up for 18 months following a botched robbery attempt in Chester.
George Daniels’ Bold Knife Threat Foiled
George Daniels, from Heol Y Goron, Flintshire, pleaded guilty at Chester Crown Court on 7 May. The court heard Daniels tried to rob a victim near Mill Lane at around 7pm on 30 October 2020.
Daniels confronted the man as he walked home from work at the Countess of Chester Hospital. He demanded cash, threatened to hit him, and claimed he had a knife.
Luckily, the victim managed to walk away unharmed.
Caught at Bache Station, Justice Served
Police arrested Daniels at Bache Railway Station shortly after. The victim later identified him as the attacker, leading to charges of attempted robbery.
Detective Constable Andrew Manson said: “I hope this sentence will bring some closure to the victim of this incident. The circumstances could have been a lot worse and I would like to praise the victim for their courage in identifying Daniels and helping bring him to justice. I hope the sentence handed down by the courts acts as a deterrent to anyone who thinks that they can get away with this type of crime.”
