Brutal Cardiff Stabbing: Man Jailed for Ten Years
A 20-year-old thug has been locked up for plunging a knife into a defenceless man sitting in a car in Cardiff. The savage attack happened late at night and was caught on CCTV, leading to a swift conviction.
Stabbed in the Back and Stomach
On February 25, 2025, at 11.30pm, Abdul Ali was sat in the front seat of a car parked on Salisbury Road. When the 34-year-old victim climbed into the back seat, Ali suddenly jumped out, sprinted around the vehicle, and flung open the driver’s rear door. Without warning, Ali stabbed the man in the neck and stomach.
The victim managed to scramble out of the car before another passenger grabbed Ali and held him back. Chaos erupted as several men fought. Ali then fled, racing into a nearby fast-food restaurant. He locked himself in a toilet cubicle but was arrested by police moments later.
CCTV Footage Seals the Case
The chilling assault was captured on CCTV, allowing detectives to quickly pinpoint Ali as the attacker. The victim suffered serious injuries and had to undergo emergency surgery.
Ali, a Salisbury Road local, was charged with Section 18 wounding with intent. He pleaded not guilty, but after a trial, Cardiff Crown Court found him guilty. On Monday, September 21, he was sentenced to ten years behind bars for his brutal crime.
