Paedophile Jailed for Selling Sick Child Abuse Images

Adrian Harkin, 34, has been locked up for two years and eight months at Nottingham Crown Court. The filthy offender admitted to distributing indecent images of children and possessing extreme animal pornography.

Horrific Images and Chats Unearthed

The court heard Harkin sent unsolicited vile images to a woman via a dating app, confessing his twisted sexual interest in children and animals. Caught after a police tip-off in May 2023, Harkin’s devices revealed a chilling collection of over nine hours of abuse videos showing girls as young as four being horribly assaulted.

  • 66 category A indecent images and 143 category A videos
  • 52 category B images and 3 category B videos
  • 103 category C images
  • 53 prohibited images of children
  • 109 grossly offensive extreme animal pornography images
  • 33 category A videos shared
  • 5 category B images shared
  • 13 category C images shared

More than 20 online chats showed Harkin distributing vile content and discussing child abuse. He even sought animals to abuse.

Detective Calls Harkin’s Crimes ‘Depraved’

“Harkin has deep-rooted sexual perversions and I am pleased he is behind bars,” said Detective Constable Tom Nuttall.

“The material he possessed and shared is depraved – showing the most serious sexual offences against children and animals.”

“People who view this filth may think they’re not doing harm, but they fuel a sickening cycle of abuse causing immense physical and emotional pain.”

“That’s why we dedicate huge resources to catching offenders and protecting victims.”

Harkin is now on the sex offenders’ register for life and slapped with a five-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order.
