Man Left Fighting for Life After Brutal Woking Pub Attack
A vicious attack outside a Woking pub has left a man battling for his life. Surrey Police are hunting witnesses after the savage assault in Knaphill on Thursday night.
Violent Scene Unfolds at The Anchor Pub
Police were called to The Anchor pub at around 8.35pm following reports of a serious assault. Witnesses say three police cars, a dog unit, and an ambulance swarmed the venue, lights flashing in a chaotic scene.
A man in his 20s has been arrested and is currently held in custody. Meanwhile, a second attacker reportedly fled the scene.
Eyewitness Account: ‘He Kicked His Head Like a Football’
A shocked customer, who wished to remain anonymous, described the horror: “One of the blokes was kicking the man lying on the floor like his head was a football.”
Victim Rushed to Hospital with Serious Head Injury
The victim was rushed to hospital with a critical head injury. Detective Constable Mikki Mayhew of West Surrey CID said:
“This was an extremely violent and seemingly unprovoked attack. We urge anyone who was in the pub or witnessed any related events to come forward.”
