Ex-EastEnders Star’s Ex Dave Fairbairn Shot in Enfield Car Park
A man who survived a close-range gunshot wound to the stomach in Enfield has been named as Dave Fairbairn, ex-partner of former EastEnders actress Gillian Taylforth.
Shooting Shocks North London
The shooting happened just after 7pm on Sunday in the car park of Toby Carvery in Enfield, North London. Armed police quickly sealed off the area, locking down staff and customers while they hunted for the lone gunman.
Fairbairn, 64, was rushed to hospital after emergency surgery to remove the bullet. Medics say he was incredibly lucky — the slug missed vital organs and he remains in stable condition.
Dave Fairbairn’s Troubled Past
Fairbairn is currently out on bail following a cannabis factory raid at his home. Friends reveal both he and Gillian Taylforth have been targeted with death threats recently, adding a dark backdrop to the violent attack.
Gillian Taylforth Left Reeling
“She is said to be in shock after Dave called her from his hospital bed to tell her what happened,” close friends revealed.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
The Metropolitan Police confirmed they were called by London Ambulance Service at 7.15pm to reports of a man with a suspected gunshot wound to his stomach on Whitewebbs Lane, Enfield. Officers say Fairbairn, believed to be in his 50s, was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital.
No arrests have been made so far. Detectives are investigating the circumstances and urge anyone with information to contact police on 101, quoting CAD 7351/5 July.
