A man in his 30s was stabbed in broad daylight on Porters Avenue, Dagenham, sparking a swift police response. Paramedics rushed to a nearby home on Woodward Road to treat the victim before he was taken to hospital.

The stabbing is believed to have happened earlier that evening on Porters Avenue. Paramedics treated the man at a Woodward Road address before he was taken to hospital. His injuries are serious but not life threatening.

Teen Arrested and Bailed as Police Probe Continues

A teenager was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent on the same day. He has since been released on bail while police carry on their investigation.

A Met Police spokesperson said: “At 18:41hrs on Sunday, 19 October officers were called by the London Ambulance Service to an address in Woodward Road, Dagenham after someone was being treated for stab wounds.

“It is believed the man in his 30s had been attacked earlier that evening on Porters Avenue, Dagenham.

“He was taken to hospital where his injuries were not deemed life-threatening or life-changing.

“A teenage boy was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent and has since been bailed pending further investigation.
