High-Speed Police Chase Ends in Charges for 100mph Fleeing Driver
A man who led police on a terrifying 100mph chase through a 30mph zone has been hit with 11 serious charges.
Skye Anderson-King Races Through Red Lights in Newham
Skye Anderson-King, 30, ignored all warnings as he smashed the speed limit in Newham, London. Officers from the Metropolitan Police’s Roads and Transport Policing team pursued him after he raced along the A13 Newham Way in Canning Town.
The chase saw Anderson-King fly through red traffic lights, even going against the flow of traffic — endangering pedestrians and other drivers alike.
Dangerous Driving Forces Police to Call Off Chase
His reckless 100mph sprint in a 30mph zone left officers no choice but to abort the pursuit on Dock Road, E6, to protect the public. The vehicle was later found abandoned in Renfrew Close, E6.
Eleven Charges – Including Dangerous Driving and Drug Possession
Following a public appeal after the chase was called off, Anderson-King was arrested and charged with 11 offences. These include aggravated vehicle taking, dangerous driving, driving while disqualified, and possession of drugs.
He will now face court over his actions, which put his life and countless others in serious danger.
