Police Hunt Hit-and-Run Suspect After 12-Year-Old’s Tragic Death
Manhunt Underway for Dangerous Driver
Police are ramping up their search for Dolars Aleksanders, 21, the prime suspect in a fatal hit-and-run that killed 12-year-old Keaton Slater. The deadly collision happened on Radford Road around 4:30pm last Friday.
Aleksanders is wanted on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. Investigators are urging anyone with information on his whereabouts to come forward immediately.
Multiple Arrests Made, But Main Suspect Still at Large
So far, several arrests have been made in connection with the inquiry. A 56-year-old man was detained for allegedly assisting an offender. Another 21-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. Both have been released on bail while investigations continue.
Police Plea for Help and Reward Offered
Sgt. Rich Evans of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit said:
“Our thoughts remain with Keaton’s devastated family during this truly awful time. We appeal to anyone with vital information to do the right thing and help us find Aleksanders.”
