Paedophile Jailed After Targeting Young Girl in Medway

An offender who preyed on a young girl walking alone in Medway has finally been locked up. Abiola Adenmosun, 35, stopped his car beside the child in Rochester back in 2012. He fooled her into meeting him the next day, sparking a nightmare that lasted months.

Drugged and Assaulted in His Car

The victim trusted Adenmosun and showed up for the arranged meeting. There, he gave her alcohol and a cannabis-laced cigarette she had never tried before, leaving her confused and vulnerable. He then sexually assaulted her inside his vehicle. Over the following months, Adenmosun continued to exploit and abuse her, carrying out further sexual offences.

During this horrific period, he also smashed the girl’s phone and even attacked one of her relatives. Despite the victim’s attempts to cut ties, Adenmosun relentlessly bombarded her with texts and calls.

Justice Served After Years of Courage

Fed up and frightened, the victim finally went to the police in 2017. Adenmosun was arrested from his King George Road, Chatham home and charged with six counts of sexual activity with a child.

He first pleaded not guilty at Maidstone Crown Court but was convicted on all charges on 28 January 2025. Last Friday (18 July) he was slammed with a four-year-three-month prison sentence.

  • Indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order imposed

  • Subject to a lifelong restraining order

Police Praise Victim’s Bravery

“This man sought out a vulnerable girl walking alone, gained her trust, then committed multiple sexual offences,” said Detective Constable Kayleigh Archer.

“The victim showed immense courage by reporting her ordeal, supporting our investigation for years, and giving evidence in court. Thanks to her bravery, this appalling man is behind bars and can no longer harm other young victims.”
