London Predator Jailed for Seven Years Over Child Sex Crimes

Vinnie Pinkham, 19, from Eltham, was slammed with a seven-year prison sentence and a 10-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order at Woolwich Crown Court on March 28.

Shocking Crimes Uncovered

  • Two counts of sexual communication with a child
  • Two counts of causing a child under 13 to engage in sexual activity
  • Three counts of possessing extreme pornographic images
  • Possession of a prohibited image

Pinkham targeted children as young as six online, grooming them across England and Wales to send explicit images and videos. Detectives used cutting-edge digital techniques in a multi-force investigation involving the Met, Greater Manchester, and North Wales Police to expose his vile offences.

Met Police Praise Groundbreaking Investigation

Detective Constable Amy Burnell, who led the inquiry, said:

“The Met’s team showed incredible professionalism. They had to view horrific images, grading their severity for court. Despite the disturbing material, their commitment never wavered.” “Thanks to their diligence, Pinkham is off London’s streets. He can no longer hide behind screens to prey on vulnerable kids enjoying online games and chats.” “He exploited children’s innocence for his own sick gain. We’re dedicated to catching predators and protecting young people across London.” “We will do everything to keep children safe and bring these offenders to justice.”

Protecting London’s Children, Online and Offline

The Met is ramping up efforts as part of its New Met for London plan. Officers are working closely with charities like The Children’s Society to help parents and carers spot signs of abuse and predatory behaviour online and in the real world.
