Met Police Officer Axed Over Shocking Beauty Clinic Sex Assault
Off-Duty Cop Sexually Assaults Woman During Beauty Treatment
PC Mark Thomas has been fired without warning after sexually assaulting a female client at a beauty clinic while off duty on 3 August 2022. The Met officer’s disgraceful actions have cost him his job, despite him not being on the clock.
Probe Dropped, But Professional Standards Panel Slams Cop
Cambridgeshire Police arrested Thomas following the incident, but dropped the criminal investigation citing insufficient evidence. However, an internal Met panel found him guilty of serious professional misconduct.
Detective Chief Superintendent Simon Stancombe said: “PC Thomas’ actions were particularly disturbing given his attempts to use the beauty treatment as a cover to commit the offence. This must have been an awful experience for the victim, and I commend them for coming forward. We continue to go above and beyond to rid the organisation of those who corrupt our integrity.”
Fired and Barred for Life from Policing Roles
- Dismissed without notice
- Added to College of Policing’s Barred List
- Banned from all police and public safety roles for life
Thomas also failed to declare the beauty clinic as a business interest, a further breach uncovered before the misconduct hearing.
Clear Warning from the Met
This case sends a stark message: the Metropolitan Police will act fast and hard to purge officers who betray public trust — on duty or off.
