A serving Metropolitan Police officer has been charged with multiple sexual assaults on two children, Surrey Police have confirmed.

Six Sexual Assault Charges Against Former Horley Resident

Jamie Howlett, 33, formerly of Horley, faces six counts of sexual assault by touching a child under 13. Surrey Police revealed that three charges involve one victim, while the other three relate to a second child.

More Charges: Adult Victim and Serious Offences

Howlett is also charged with multiple offences against an adult victim including:

  • Five counts of rape
  • One charge of controlling and coercive behaviour
  • One charge of sexual assault by touching
  • One charge of sexual assault by penetration
  • One charge of assault causing actual bodily harm

Howlett is due to appear at Staines Magistrates Court on August 9.
