Essex Drug Duo Jailed for Peddling Crack and Heroin
A drug dealer and his driver have been locked up for pushing cocaine and heroin across south Essex. Miles Wilson got Laura Webb to chauffeur him around Basildon because he was banned from driving.
Driver Nabbed With Drugs Hidden in Her Knickers
Laura Webb, 37, was caught red-handed on 11 March by Operation Raptor officers after being stopped in Canvey. She admitted she was dropping off drugs and shockingly hid 22 wraps of crack cocaine and nine wraps of heroin in her underwear.
Webb confessed she took the job late February but fell out with Wilson after he allegedly nicked £300 from her. She also said she felt threatened and pressured to keep dealing drugs with him.
Dealer Jailed for Five Years, Driver Gets Two and a Half
Wilson, 32, from Lambeth, was arrested at a portacabin in Tilbury the day after Webb’s arrest. Both pleaded guilty to supplying class A drugs during August hearings.
On 29 September at Basildon Crown Court, Wilson was sentenced to five-and-a-half years and ordered to forfeit over £3,200 seized during the probe. Webb got two years and seven months behind bars.
Police Warn of Dangers Behind the Drug Trade
PC James Major, of Operation Raptor South, said: “Wilson was a leading member of a ‘Sam’ county line pushing class A drugs in south Essex, with Webb one of his runners.
“Dealers like Wilson lure people in with false promises of quick cash and a glamorous lifestyle — but it’s a trap.
“Violence, threats, and manipulation are routine to maintain control. Class A drugs devastate communities. Getting involved means risking everything — and if you’re caught, you will face jail.”
