Nine Nabbed in Massive London Crime Blitz
London police launched a major crackdown on violent crime early this morning, Thursday 12 April, arresting nine suspects across the city. The operation, led by Operation Viper, targeted a violent gang suspected of drug dealing and firearms offences.
Sub-Machine Gun and Class A Drugs Seized
Officers raided eight addresses, detaining six men and three women aged 14 to 49. Alongside the arrests, they seized a sub-machine gun, a handgun, ammunition, cash, and large amounts of suspected Class A drugs including crack cocaine and heroin.
More than 200 officers from the Met, including firearms units and specialists, took part. The effort is part of the Trident and Area Crime Command’s drive to stamp out violent offenders across London.

Gang Exploited Vulnerable Teens
The five-month intelligence-led hunt uncovered a sophisticated West London gang believed to be pushing drugs citywide. Disturbingly, some young as 14 were involved.
Commissioner Cressida Dick, who was on the raid squad, said:
“They are very violent – several with histories of violence. One is suspected of regularly using firearms. They are being arrested for conspiracy to supply crack cocaine and heroin. They’ve made huge profits, used violence, and exploited vulnerable people including very young children. People like this, who appear untouchable for a time, cause devastation and fear.”
“This operation sends a strong signal to the public that we are using every effort to take these criminals off the streets.”
