Tragic Night on Kingsheath Avenue

Police rushed to a house on Kingsheath Avenue around 10 p.m. after reports of gunfire inside the property. An unknown male opened fire, shooting the young girl in the chest. She was rushed to hospital but sadly died from her injuries.

Investigation Underway as Police Hunt Gunman

Officers have sealed off the area and are scouring CCTV and forensic evidence. Assistant Chief Constable Jenny Sims described the incident as “a genuinely horrible occurrence” and demanded community help to catch the coward responsible.

“This crime is reprehensible, and our communities must come out and tell us who is guilty. This cowardly individual does not deserve to be wandering the streets,” Sims said.

“We urge anyone with dashcam, CCTV, or mobile phone footage from the Kingsheath Avenue area last night to come forward.”

Third Liverpool Shooting in Less Than a Week

This is the third shooting involving young people in Liverpool in under a week. Just days ago, 28-year-old Ashley Dale was fatally shot in her home barely two miles away. Ashley’s younger brother Lewis Dunne was also killed in a mistaken identity shooting in 2015.

Authorities say there is no known link between the cases. A man in his early twenties was also shot dead in Toxteth on Wednesday.
