RCN Chief Warns: ‘Enough Is Enough’
“This is a defining moment in our history. Our fight will continue for as long as it takes to win justice for nurses and patients,” said Pat Cullen, RCN General Secretary.
“Our members are saying enough is enough. They refuse to be stuck on a financial knife-edge at home and treated unfairly at 1. Ministers must decide how much longer they will put nursing staff through this.”
“Next week’s budget is the government’s chance to invest seriously and stop this strike action. This isn’t just for nurses — it’s about raising standards for patients this 1, and we urge the public to stand with us.”
Strike Action Triggered by Pay Cuts and Funding Crisis
The ballot took place between 6 October and 2 November after damaging NHS pay announcements earlier this year. Experienced nurses are now 20% worse off in real terms than a decade ago, sparking anger and industrial action across the UK.
