Cat Left Seriously Injured in Shocking Attack on Hartshill Road
Police scrambled to a Hartshill Road home shortly before 12.30pm on Tuesday, 7 June, after a cat was found injured.
Owner Spots Injured Cat, Rushed to Emergency Vet
The feline’s owner noticed the injury on Monday, 6 June, and rushed their beloved pet to the vet for emergency treatment. Thankfully, Toto — a two-year-seven-month-old cat — is now recovering safely at home.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
Detective Inspector Scott McGrath of the stoke-on-trent/" title="Stoke-on-Trent" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Stoke-on-Trent South Neighbourhood Policing Team slammed the attack as “a highly distressing crime that resulted in serious injury to a defenseless animal.” He urged the public to come forward with any information.
“I would encourage anyone with information about this crime to contact us as soon as possible,” he said.
