Tragedy on Stock Road: Teen Killed, Another Critical After Crash
Emergency services rushed to Stock Road in Stock at around 8:20am yesterday following a horror crash involving a car and two children.
Devastatingly, a 15-year-old boy was pronounced dead at the scene. His family have been informed and are receiving specialist support.
Second Teen Rushed to Hospital
Another teenage boy was seriously injured and taken to hospital. He remains in a critical condition.
Driver Arrested but Now Released Under Investigation
A 23-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, causing serious injury by dangerous driving, and driving while unfit through drink or drugs. He has since been released under investigation as enquiries continue.
Police Appeal for Witnesses and Dashcam Footage
Detective Inspector Mark Fraser from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit said:
“This tragic incident has had a huge impact on the community. Our detectives are reviewing dashcam and CCTV footage to understand exactly what happened.”
He added:
“We are urging anyone with information, dashcam footage, or who witnessed the crash to come forward.”
