Early Morning Horror: Elderly Woman Assaulted in Kent Burglary

Raid in Quiet Village

Kent Police were called at 5.40am on Saturday 13 April after two burglars broke into a home in a peaceful village. They made off with jewellery, cash, and keys. The victim, an 80-something woman, was reportedly assaulted during the terrifying raid.

Rapid Arrests in Folkestone

Officers acted fast, arresting a man and a woman the same morning in nearby Folkestone. Detectives from East Kent CID swiftly charged Anthony Foord, 45, of Cherry Garden Avenue, with aggravated burglary. Amie Lynn, 38, who has no fixed address, was charged with aggravated burglary and assaulting an emergency worker.

Court Date Set

Both suspects were remanded and are due to appear before Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Monday 15 April as the investigation unfolds.
