Brutal Punch in Swindon Sparks Police Hunt for Woman Victim

Wiltshire Police are on the lookout for a woman after she was reportedly punched during a public bust-up on Oxford Road, Swindon.

The drama unfolded around 10am on Thursday, April 3. A man and woman argued inside a grey Toyota Hilux near the Greenbridge roundabout. Witnesses say they both got out before the man landed a punch square on the woman’s face. She fled via a nearby cut-through on Oxford Road.

Arrest Made, But Police Need Woman to Come Forward

A 28-year-old local man has been arrested on suspicion of assault and released on bail while inquiries continue. But police say they still haven’t identified the woman involved.

“We are keen to speak to the female involved to ensure her safety and to progress our investigation,” said a Wiltshire Police spokesperson. “We also encourage anyone who witnessed the incident or who may have relevant dashcam footage to get in touch.”
