BMW Driver Critically Injured After Collision with Fallen Tree
Emergency services rushed to the scene where two cars—a black BMW 3 Series 335d and a black Volkswagen Jetta—heading southbound collided separately with a fallen tree. The BMW driver suffered life-threatening injuries.
Road Closure to Stay Until Friday Amid Ongoing Investigation
Authorities have closed the southbound A1068 between the A1172 Station Road and Foxton Mill roundabouts. The closure is expected to continue until at least Friday, January 26, as officers carry out thorough investigations.
Police confirmed the 26-year-old’s next of kin are being supported by specially trained officers. They thanked the public for their patience during the disruption and urged motorists to seek alternative routes and allow extra travel time.
