Three Men Arrested After Shocking Sexual Assault on Hove Beach
A woman was sexually assaulted just before 12.30am on February 12 on the beach near Shelter Hall, sparking a swift police response.
Fast Arrests Made
Three men from Hove – two aged 19 and one aged 26 – were arrested shortly after the incident on suspicion of sexual assault. They are currently on conditional bail while the investigation continues.
Police Plea for Witnesses
Investigator Rose Horan urged the public to come forward with any information.
“We would like to speak to anybody who can help us investigate this disturbing incident. Several members of the public, including a man in a brown coat walking his dog, were seen walking past the scene and we are particularly keen to get in touch with them.”
Victim Supported by Specialists
Horan added: “This was a distressing assault on a vulnerable young woman, who is being supported by specialist officers. While we have arrested three suspects, the investigation remains ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
