Kent Fire and Rescue Service rushed to a blazing bungalow roof on Fauchons Lane, Maidstone, this afternoon.
Quick Response Puts Out Flames
At 4.19pm, three fire engines and a height vehicle stormed the scene. Firefighters in breathing gear tackled the flames using a high-pressure hose reel jet, dousing the fire swiftly.
Woman Treated for Smoke Inhalation
South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb) also attended. Paramedics checked a woman suffering from light smoke inhalation, but thankfully, no serious injuries were reported.
Cause Traced to Wasps’ Nest Igniting Under Light Bulb
Investigators believe a dried-out wasps’ nest caught fire due to the heat from a nearby light bulb. The blaze was under control by 5.13pm, and crews have now left the scene.
Officials urge everyone to stay vigilant about fire risks around the home.
