Police charge babyfaced serial burglar

A suspected burglar will appear in court following break-ins across East Kent. Jamie Porter, 32, of Sussex Avenue in Canterbury was arrested on Monday 18 March 2019 and has been charged with fraud and conspiracy to commit burglary. The charge relates to 11 burglaries and thefts across Canterbury, Deal, Herne Bay and Ashford since October 2018. Items including cash, jewellery, power tools, bank cards, vehicles and registration plates have been reported stolen. Mr Porter has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court via video link on Tuesday 19 March 2019.
