Man Arrested After 11 Break-Ins

Jamie Porter, 32, from Sussex Avenue, Canterbury, was arrested on Monday 18 March 2019. He faces charges of fraud and conspiracy to commit burglary following a wave of break-ins across East Kent.

Theft Spree Hits Canterbury and Beyond

The charges stem from 11 burglaries and thefts targeting homes and businesses in Canterbury, Deal, Herne Bay, and Ashford since October 2018. Stolen goods include cash, jewellery, power tools, bank cards, vehicles, and number plates.

Porter Remanded, Court Date Set

Now remanded in custody, Porter is set to appear via video link at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 19 March 2019.
