City of London Bloodbath: Four Stabbed, Two Fighting for Life
Chaos erupted in the City of London in the early hours of Sunday, 2 August, as police confirmed four men were stabbed during a violent brawl. Two victims remain in critical condition.
Early Morning Stabbings Spark Alarm
The drama kicked off around 3.15am when London Ambulance Service alerted police that two men had arrived at a south London hospital with stab wounds.
- A 34-year-old man is battling for his life in hospital.
- A 27-year-old also sustained injuries but is not in a life-threatening condition.
Both injuries are believed to have stemmed from a fight on High Holborn, where police have cordoned off a crime scene.
Second Pair Found in Car on Clerkenwell Road
Just 15 minutes later, officers spotted a suspicious vehicle parked with hazard lights on in Clerkenwell Road. Inside were two 25-year-old men, also stabbed.
Officers provided emergency first aid before paramedics arrived. Both men were rushed to hospital.
- One has since been discharged and arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm (GBH).
- The other remains in hospital in critical condition.
Investigation Underway
Police believe all four stabbings are linked and originated from the same High Holborn fight. The probe is in its early stages, with detectives appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
