Knife Attack Near Nottingham College Sends Teen to Hospital
Emergency services rushed to Canal Street, Nottingham, just after 11:30am on Thursday, February 2, following a violent altercation involving a group of youths.
Three Injured, Two Charged Over Knife Incident
A 16-year-old boy suffered a knife wound and was taken to Queen’s Medical Centre but has since been released. Two other men received minor injuries and were also treated in hospital.
Police have charged 18-year-old Ayo Ajayi, from Osman Close, The Meadows, and an unnamed 17-year-old boy with affray and possession of a bladed weapon. Both are set to appear in Nottingham Magistrates Court today (Saturday, February 4).
Another 16-year-old remains in custody on suspicion of affray as inquiries continue.
Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward
“Preventing and reducing knife crime and violence in our communities is our absolute priority,” said Detective Sergeant Steve Dalby of Nottinghamshire Police. “While two people have been charged, our investigation is ongoing. We want to hear from anyone who was near the scene and may have information.”
