Four Teens Arrested After Knife Attack on 12-Year-Old Boy in Pitsea

Police have swooped on four teenagers following a brutal stabbing in Pitsea. The shocking assault happened shortly after 1.55pm on Monday 24 August, when a 12-year-old boy was attacked on Mayfair Avenue.

The victim was rushed to hospital by air ambulance with a serious knife wound to his back. Thankfully, police say his injuries are not life-threatening.

Rapid Arrests as Teen Suspects Held for Grievous Bodily Harm

Officers were quick to respond and arrested a girl and three boys, all aged 14, on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm. They remain in custody for questioning.

Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward

Detective Inspector Stewart Eastbrook said: “This was a nasty incident on a young boy. Our officers arrived quickly to conduct enquiries and search the area. We are piecing together information and believe those involved know each other.”

He added: “We’re speaking to witnesses and would like to thank those who have already come forward. Anyone who saw what happened or has mobile phone or CCTV footage should please contact us.”

Local residents concerned about the incident are urged to speak to officers patrolling the area.
