Residents Shocked by Daylight Attack
One anonymous local said, “It was quite shocking really, right across the street on a busy road in broad daylight. The ambulance arrived in record time, and the air ambulance even landed in the nearby park. I honestly can’t believe it.”
Andy Panayiotou, 43, added, “I only moved here in November. It doesn’t make me feel unsafe; it just feels out of character. We were all taken aback. It really does feel surreal.”
Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward
“We are appealing for any witnesses who were in the area of Cowley Road near the junction with Frayslea just after 7pm on 6 July,” said Detective Chief Inspector Katherine Goodwin. “It’s a busy road, so there would have been plenty of people on foot or in vehicles. We’re especially keen to hear from anyone with dashcam footage.”
