Thugs Rob G4S Staff in Southampton – Police Hunt Masked Trio

Police are on the lookout for witnesses after a brazen robbery outside Santander on Burgess Road, Southampton, in the early hours of February 25. At around 1am, three hooded men attacked two G4S security workers, making off with a cash box stuffed with notes.

G4S Worker Hurt but No Serious Injuries

During the raid, one G4S employee was shoved to the ground, suffering a cut knee. Fortunately, no weapons were drawn, and the staff were not seriously hurt.

Police Plea for Witnesses

“Fortunately the G4S staff member was not seriously assaulted but this was more luck than judgement,” said Detective Constable Jonathan Hyland. “Security staff serving the public need to be able to do their jobs without fear of assaults.”

DC Hyland urged anyone with info to come forward. “Someone out around 1am knows who was planning something unlawful. Help us catch these offenders.”
