Man Charged with Attempted Murder After Middle Street Stabbing
Police have arrested and charged a man following a serious assault on Middle Street last Monday (28 February).
Sherwan Ali in Custody
Sherwan Ali, 27, of Middle Street, is charged with attempted murder. He was remanded in custody and is set to appear at portsmouth/" title="Portsmouth" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Portsmouth Magistrates Court today (Wednesday 2 March).
Victim Seriously Stabbed
Officers were called at 2.34pm to an address on Middle Street after reports of a violent attack. A 33-year-old man from Southsea was found with stab wounds to his chest, face, and hands. He was rushed to Portsmouth General Hospital and remains in stable condition.
