Police investigate Hit and Run after Teenager is Hit by Taxi in Portsmouth

Police are appealing for help to trace the driver of a car which failed to stop following a collision with a cyclist in Portsmouth. Officers were called to Commercial Road, at 4.30pm on Saturday, November 26, to reports of a collision involving a car and a young cyclist. The 13-year-old had come off his bike as a result of the collision and sustained a serious injury to his leg. The driver of the car, described as a silver taxi or private hire vehicle, initially stopped but then drove off. Officers investigating the incident are appealing for the driver of the vehicle to come forward so that the exact circumstances of the incident can be established. They would also like to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision as they may have information which could assist the investigation.
