Woman in Her 50s Killed in Hit-and-Run Tragedy in Ollerton

A woman in her 50s was fatally hit by a car on Newark Road, Ollerton, at around 10.25pm on December 8. The driver allegedly struck her before speeding off without stopping.

Paramedics rushed to the scene but sadly declared the woman dead on arrival.

Man Arrested Over Deadly Hit-and-Run

Police have arrested a 33-year-old man in connection with the crash. He faces charges including causing death by dangerous driving, failing to stop, and failing to report the incident. The suspect has been released on bail while the probe continues.

“The investigation is moving at pace, and we have now arrested a 33-year-old man in connection with the incident,” said Sergeant Steve Waft of Nottinghamshire Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit.

“This has been incredibly distressing for the victim’s family and our thoughts continue to be with them at this difficult time.”
