Man Charged with Murder After Fatal Enfield Stabbing
A 26-year-old man, Nahid Ahmed from Enfield, was fatally stabbed in the early hours of Sunday, 13 September. Emergency crews were called to Holbrook Close, EN1, at around 12.40am but Mr Ahmed was pronounced dead at the scene.
Suspect Arrested and Charged
A 43-year-old man was arrested near the scene shortly after the stabbing. He has been charged with murder and appeared at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, 15 September. He is now remanded to appear at the Central Criminal Court on 17 September.
Investigation Underway – Police Seek Witnesses
Detective Chief Inspector Katherine Goodwin, from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command, is leading the inquiry. Enquiries remain ongoing as police piece together what happened.

Suspicious Call Before Murder
Police revealed that around 20 minutes before the stabbing, the 43-year-old suspect reported an assault. Following this, the Met’s Directorate of Professional Standards has been notified as part of the ongoing probe.
