Two Men Jailed for Drug Dealing After Guilty Pleas
Rhys Shekleton, 30, from Barnet, and Glyn Shekleton, 24, from Walthamstow, were sentenced at Ipswich Crown Court on Friday, 10 June, after admitting multiple drug charges.
Drugs and Cash Found in Raid
The brothers were caught red-handed on January 29 during a police raid on a property in Cranley Green, Eye. Officers uncovered drugs, cash, and mobile phones linked to drug dealing activities.
Serious Drug Charges Spanning Five Years
Both men faced charges including possession with intent to supply cannabis and cocaine. They were also implicated in distributing cocaine, cannabis, and ketamine between 2016 and 2021. Additionally, Glyn Shekleton was charged with obstructing a police officer.
Heavy Sentences Handed Down
Rhys Shekleton got slammed with 43 months behind bars. Glyn received 38 months. Both had previously pleaded guilty to the offences.
PC Steve Brown from the East Scorpion team said: “It is very pleasing to see that two people who have been involved in bringing such misery to our streets will now be locked up for a significant time.”
“It is no secret that drugs cause significant harm to Suffolk’s most vulnerable residents.”
