Elderly Couple Attacked in Paddock Wood Burglary
Detectives are hunting two masked thugs after an elderly couple were violently assaulted during a daring Paddock Wood home invasion.
Brutal Break-In on Chantler’s Hill
Around 8.30pm on Wednesday 2 September 2020, two men smashed patio glass to barge into a home on Chantler’s Hill. The victims, a man in his 70s and a woman in her 80s, faced horrific violence. The man was shoved to the floor, while the woman was struck in the face with the butt of an antique firearm.
Thieves ransacked their bedroom, stealing jewellery and cash from the woman’s purse.
Masked Men on the Loose
- Both wore balaclavas
- One was large, around 6ft tall
- The other was shorter and slimmer
Paramedics rushed to the scene. Luckily, both victims were released from hospital after checks.
Police Launch Full Investigation
Chief Constable’s Crime Squad leads the probe. Officers are canvassing the neighbourhood and reviewing CCTV footage.
Detectives urge anyone who spotted suspicious activity to come forward. Drivers nearby should check dash cams, and residents are asked to review CCTV or doorbell camera footage.
