Walthamstow Shooting: Second Man Charged in Serious Gun Attack
Detectives have made a breakthrough in the Walthamstow shooting that left a man seriously injured. On Friday, September 15, Anthony Diamond Brown, 22, of no fixed address, was charged with possession of a firearm and ammunition with intent to endanger life.
Two Men Now Facing Firearm Charges
Brown’s arrest comes after Desharn Felix, 21, was charged earlier with similar offences, including possession of a firearm, ammunition, and cannabis. Felix, also homeless, appeared at Thames Magistrates’ Court in July and is due back at Snaresbrook Crown Court on January 22, 2024. Brown has been remanded in custody and will appear at Thames Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, September 16.
Gunfire on Blackhorse Lane: Victim Survives After Critical Injuries
The chaos unfolded on June 17 at 10:44pm when police and London Ambulance were called to reports of gunshots on Blackhorse Lane, E17. They found a 22-year-old man with a gunshot wound. He was rushed to hospital in critical condition but was luckily discharged after treatment, with injuries deemed non-life-threatening.
The investigation into the shooting continues as police work to bring those responsible to justice.
