Serial Shoplifter Strikes Again at Boots in Greenwich

John Harris, aka John Harris Bolton, a notorious shoplifter, is back behind bars after swiping nearly £3,000 of goods from a Boots store in Greenwich. This latest crime came just months after his release from prison.

Crime Spree Continues Despite Previous Jail Time

The 38-year-old was jailed for 37 weeks in April following a spree targeting a BP store, where he amassed thefts worth over £6,000, including meat and alcohol. Convicted on 39 theft counts, Harris was banned from all BP stores across southeast London.

Yet, freed from prison, Harris wasted no time resuming his criminal activities — this time focusing on Boots shops.

£2,837 Stolen in Just Over a Month

Between August 11 and September 13, Harris swiped an assortment of items worth £2,837 from the Greenwich Boots. His haul included £997 worth of skin and hair-care products and £100 of baby milk.

Quick Justice at Bromley Magistrates’ Court

Harris faced Bromley Magistrates’ Court on September 18, where he pleaded guilty to eight theft charges. The court handed him a swift 16-week prison sentence.

“Despite previous convictions and a ban, Harris persistently returned to theft, showing blatant disregard for the law,” said the court official.

Now, Harris heads back to prison to serve his fresh 16-week sentence, continuing a cycle of crime that authorities hope will finally end.
