A brutal gang of seven has been locked up for a combined 82 years after a savage robbery at a Hereford music studio last April. The violent attack left the victim seriously injured and scarred for life. His Honour Judge Lockhart handed down sentences at Worcester Crown Court on Friday, 12 December.
Brutal Whitecross Loft Raid Leaves Victim Scarred for Life
The terrifying raid took place at a converted music studio in Hereford’s Whitecross area. The gang, who travelled from Birmingham by train, launched a pre-planned robbery. Musa Hussain held the victim at knifepoint while Cadaine July landed vicious punches. The other gang members joined in with savage blows.
The victim fought back fiercely, grappling with Acaree Crossgill, who wielded a deadly zombie knife on the stairs. During the struggle, Jahmya Farrell smashed a glass over the victim’s head, causing deep cuts. The attackers fled as the victim’s mother rushed him to A&E with a life-threatening arterial bleed.
The victim now bears permanent physical scars and faces ongoing mental health struggles after the vicious assault.

- Cadaine July, 18 (Stoke-on-Trent): 8 years 6 months for robbery & grievous bodily harm (GBH)
- Jahmya Farrell, 18 (Coventry): 8 years 6 months for robbery & GBH
- Esa Hussain, 19 (Kings Heath): 11 years for robbery & GBH
- Ethan Powell, 19 (Worcester): 13 years total for robbery, GBH & cocaine supply
- Musa Hussain, 20 (Rugby): 20 years total for robbery, GBH, possession of blade & violent disorder
- Caleb Barnes, 20 (Birmingham): 14 years for robbery & GBH
- Acaree Crossgill, 20 (Birmingham): 13 years for robbery & GBH
An eighth teen, aged 16, remains unnamed for legal reasons and awaits sentencing on 12 January 2026.
High-Speed Police Chase Forces Gang’s Capture
Officers patrolling nearby for a missing person spotted the gang fleeing the scene. Police Dog Fury was deployed, tracking down July hiding in bushes, Farrell under a car, and Powell in nearby woods. July and Powell were caught carrying stolen goods.
