Sevenoaks child sex predator caught on dashcam coaching himself before arrest jailed for nearly 20 years

Chilling dashcam footage reveals predator’s pep talk

Karl Fisher, 34, from Sevenoaks, was recorded on dashcam giving himself a nerve-steeling pep talk just moments before his arrest. Captured on 27 May 2022, the footage shows Fisher whispering phrases like, “You’ve got this” and “You’ve still got options” as he faced serious rape allegations.

Systematic abuse uncovered by Kent Police

Kent Police seized the footage during their investigation into Fisher’s horrific crimes carried out between 2018 and 2022. The predator subjected a young victim to repeated, sadistic abuse. He forced the child to wear an eye mask and blasted loud music through headphones during assaults to silence them.

Jury delivers unanimous guilty verdict

At Maidstone Crown Court, Fisher admitted taking indecent images and causing child sexual activity but denied at least five counts of rape, repeated sexual assaults, and witness intimidation. After a trial, the jury found him guilty on all charges.

Nearly 20 years behind bars for dangerous sex offender

On 23 September 2024, Fisher was sentenced to 19 years and 6 months in prison. The judge declared him a “dangerous” man who must serve two-thirds of his sentence before parole. He faces an additional four-year extended licence upon release and lifetime registration on the sex offenders’ register.

Detective Constable Amy Mulrey, who led the case, said: “Fisher is a depraved individual responsible for appalling abuse over several years. He’s a dangerous, calculated, and callous sexual predator who’s shown no remorse.”

“The victim’s courage in coming forward is remarkable. We hope they can now move forward, safe in the knowledge this predator is locked up and no longer a threat to any child.”
