Sex Pest Terence Kamara Locked Up for Indecent Acts in Canterbury

A vile sex offender who brazenly exposed himself in front of innocent women has finally been jailed for two years and four months. Terence Kamara, 26, committed multiple indecent acts in Canterbury during March 2022, targeting three female victims.

Caught on CCTV Near Shopping Centre Toilets

Whitefriars shopping centre security spotted Kamara acting suspiciously by the public toilets and alerted Kent Police on 22 March 2022. Officers found Kamara partially undressed and swiftly arrested him.

While in custody, two teenage girls came forward reporting indecent exposure by a man matching Kamara’s description. Despite being released on bail pending further enquiries, he struck again by exposing himself to a young woman in her 20s on North Holmes Road less than a week later, on 28 March.

Sentenced and Banned: Kamara Faces Serious Consequences

Kamara, who has no fixed address, pleaded guilty at Canterbury Crown Court on 20 October to engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child and three counts of exposure. Along with his prison sentence, he was slapped with a Sexual Harm Prevention Order and must stay on the sex offender register for 10 years.

Police Warn Public After Shocking Offences

“There is no excuse for the disgraceful offences committed by Terence Kamara, whose actions caused great distress for the woman and girls who witnessed them,” said PC Pat McKenna.

“He made no attempts to hide what he was doing and clearly poses a serious threat to innocent members of the public. Kent Police is committed to tackling violence against women and girls and we take robust action against criminals such as Kamara who think little to nothing of the harm their actions cause.”
