The Sex Pistols are back and louder than ever! To celebrate 50 years since their explosive debut single Anarchy In The UK, punk legends are hitting the road with a fresh new frontman. Joining forces with powerhouse singer Frank Carter, the band will storm stages across the UK and Ireland this December.
- Dublin, 3 Arena – December 7
- Edinburgh, Corn Exchange – December 9
- Glasgow, O2 Academy – December 10
- London, O2 Academy Brixton – December 18
- London, Eventim Apollo – December 20
Classic Line-Up Returns—But Where’s Johnny Rotten?
The near-original crew is back. Guitarist Steve Jones, drummer Paul Cook, and bassist Glen Matlock are ready to reignite the punk fire. But fans are left wondering if iconic frontman Johnny Rotten will make a surprise comeback. Rotten famously swore off reunions after a nasty legal battle over the use of the band’s music in Disney+’s Pistol. Looks like Frank Carter is stepping into Rotten’s boots this time.
Frank Carter Brings Fresh Fury to the Band
Known for his fierce work with Gallows and Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes, Carter injects new venom into the group. Drummer Paul Cook couldn’t be happier: “We’ve had a blast. People want to come and see us play live.” Jones also kept it straight: “If it ain’t fun, I ain’t doing it. I’m too old for b*******.” Punk attitude remains intact.
Summer Gigs to Warm Fans Up for December Madness
Can’t wait till December? The Sex Pistols are treating fans to a string of sizzling summer shows at major UK landmarks. Catch them rocking out at:
- July 11 – The Piece Hall, Halifax
- July 12 – Castlefield Bowl, Manchester
- August 1 – Cardiff Castle
- August 2 – Scarborough Open Air Theatre
Still Punk as Ever After 50 Years
Paul Cook reflects on the band’s chaotic beginnings as “a commando raid” filled with sneaky gigs and pure energy. “With Anarchy In The UK, we tapped into the unrest at the time. The message was simple – just have a go and do whatever you want.” Half a century on, the spirit of rebellion burns as fiercely as ever.
