Shocking Charges Rock Somerset and Bristol

Keri Uter is charged with three counts of rape, sexual assault, strangulation, assault causing actual bodily harm, and threatening behaviour with an offensive weapon. The alleged offences happened in June and August 2025 across locations in Somerset and Bristol.

Woman Denies Plea, Stays in Custody

Uter first appeared at Taunton Magistrates’ Court in January 2026 and was remanded in custody. She made no plea at a February hearing at Taunton Crown Court and remains behind bars.

Next Hearing Looms Before Summer Trial

Her next court date is set for Monday, 16 March, with trial scheduled to start on 20 July 2026. Both Uter and the victims are adult transgender women.
