Shoplifting Spree: Man Charged Over £2,400 Theft in Swale

A suspect has been hit with multiple theft charges after a spate of shoplifting in Swale. Between June and December 2023, Kent Police received reports of 16 offences across Queenborough, Sheerness, and Bobbing.

Stores Targeted: Aldi, B&M, and Co-op

Shops hit included Aldi, B&M Bargains, and the Co-op. Stolen goods ran the gamut from meat and alcohol to groceries and electrical items, racking up losses of over £2,400.

Suspect Arrested and Remanded

Following a public appeal, Nathan Palmer, 28, of Johnson Avenue, Gillingham, was arrested on 18 January at Medway Police Station. He now faces 16 counts of theft, charged by the Swale Victim Based Crime Team. Palmer was remanded and is set to appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court on 19 January.
