Teen Charged Over Racist Attack on Rochdale Cenotaph

A teenager has been hit with charges following the shocking damage to the Cenotaph in Rochdale on November 7, 2023. The youth, whose identity remains under wraps for legal reasons, faces accusations of racially aggravated criminal damage and theft.

Police Launch Full Investigation

Detective Chief Inspector Stuart Round vowed that authorities are taking the attack “extremely seriously.” He highlighted the police’s tight cooperation with local partners to tackle the case head-on. “Damage to Cenotaphs won’t be tolerated in Greater Manchester,” Round declared. “We are determined to bring those responsible to justice.”
