Teen Charged with Murder After Reading Fatal Attack

A 16-year-old boy has been charged with murder following the tragic death of a man in Tilehurst, Reading.

Attack in Dulnan Close

The teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, faces one count of murder and one count of Section 18 grievous bodily harm with intent. The charges relate to an incident on Saturday evening (6/2) just before 7pm on Dulnan Close, where a 26-year-old man died and another man in his forties was injured.

The boy has been remanded in custody and is due to appear before Reading Magistrates’ Court tomorrow (10/2).

Multiple Arrests in Ongoing Investigation

So far, eight people have been arrested in connection with the attack. A 21-year-old Reading man was arrested this afternoon as the eighth suspect and remains in police custody.

Previously, two 25-year-olds and a 22-year-old were released on conditional police bail. Meanwhile, a 16-year-old, a 17-year-old, and a 23-year-old remain in custody alongside the charged teenager.

Authorities are pressing ahead with a full investigation, with five suspects still held and three on bail as police piece together what led to the deadly assault in Tilehurst.
