A 17-year-old lad from Twickenham is facing terror charges after a deep-dive probe by the Met’s Counter Terrorism Command. The teen was snatched up on Tuesday, September 24, and hauled to a west London police station under the Terrorism Act.

Police swooped on an address in Twickenham, seizing the suspect and hunting for clues at two local spots. They secured a warrant to hold the teen until October 1 as the investigation cracked on.
Serious Charges: ISIS Links and Terror Docs
- Supporting ISIS – a banned terror group – under Section 11 of the Terrorism Act 2000.
- Possessing documents likely useful for planning terror acts, under Section 58 of the same act.
The youth was charged in the early hours and is set to face Westminster Youth Court on Tuesday, October 1.

“It is of deep concern that we are seeing increased numbers of young people in our counter terrorism investigations,” said Acting Commander Gareth Rees. “We urge parents and friends to watch out for signs of radicalisation and seek help early.”
