13-Year-Old Attacked with Hammer in Brutal Swindon Bike Theft
A 13-year-old boy was rushed to hospital after being struck on the head with a hammer during a vicious bike robbery in Swindon’s Penhill this afternoon.
Blow to the Head in Broad Daylight
Wiltshire Police were called to Charlton Close around 1.30pm on Tuesday, May 27, following reports of a vicious assault. The teenager was hit on the head with a hammer before thugs made off with his black Carrera bike, easily identifiable by its red handlebars and pedals.
Suspects on the Run
The boy was swiftly taken to hospital with head injuries – his current condition remains undisclosed.
Police have issued descriptions of the two men they want to track down:
- Suspect One: White male, 40s, ginger beard, wearing a black puffer jacket.
- Suspect Two: Male in his 20s, blonde hair, dark-coloured tracksuit.
Police Urge Witnesses to Step Forward
“This was a cowardly and violent attack on a child in broad daylight. We are urgently appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or seen these individuals in the area to come forward,”
a Wiltshire Police spokesperson said.
They also released a photo of the stolen bike, urging the public to report any sightings immediately.
